One direction that's cool to take year-end lists is regionality. Not everyone can make lists like that, you have to have been actively paying attention. That's what HiphopDX reviews editor Josh Svetz did below with the DMV, the area where he dwells. Like Brandon Callender, Josh made two lists: one is his top 10 DMV favs and the the other is top five "most important" DMV songs of the year, with the criteria being "resonated nationally."
